At Sew Crafty, we are passionate about using creativity to empower our students! The satisfaction of creating and expressing with one’s hands is priceless, and a world of materials awaits to be converted from one form to another. Learning the joy of tactile expression is particularly important to balance the increased time spent in today’s virtual world. Our objective at Sew Crafty is to present these possibilities in a fun and easy manner. We provide a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy sewing and quilting.
Sew Crafty staff is going on “sabbatical” to prepare for Summer Sewing Camp
In order to be prepared for our Summer Camp season, which begins on June10th, Sew Crafty will suspend scheduling classes, workshops and private lessons from May 18 until June 12th. If you’re wondering what is involved in preparing for Camp, here’s the answer. We need to develop new projects for the girls to make, especially because SO many of our “campers” have attended Summer Camp here before and need us to have new projects to offer them that they haven’t made in the past. We sew examples of all the new projects, which takes time! Then, we need to fill all of our “Project Pre-Cuts” bins. What does that mean? We keep a bin of many colors of pre-cut pattern pieces for every project we offer so that when a girl decides she wants to make, let’s say, a stuffed dolphin, we can offer her a bin full of pre-cut dolphin parts in many colors, so she can choose which color she wants and then can start sewing right away and not have to wait for the pieces to get cut out. During the Summer months of Sewing Camp lessons and workshops will be offered in a limited amount. Email: “firstname.lastname@example.org” if you have questions.
